Men’s over 35 basketball tournament

Get back on the court and compete in our Men’s 35 & Over Basketball Tournament—where experience meets passion for the game! This tournament is designed for players ages 35 and up who still love to hoop and bring that competitive edge. Whether you're reliving your glory days or just staying active with the crew, it’s all about great basketball, sportsmanship, and community.

Dates

  • Dates: August 22-23, 2025

    • Friday games between 5:30-9:30

    • Saturday games between 10am-4pm

sportsmanship

  • We encourage healthy competition in which players play hard and play to win but not at the expense of belittling opponents, yelling at officials or displaying poor sportsmanship. Yelling at the refs will not be tolerated. We ask that players and spectators conduct themselves appropriately and exhibit good sportsmanship.

Team Registration

  • Registration Deadline: August 15, 2025 (or until space is filled)

  • All players must have completed a waiver

Cost

  • $250 per team

    • Double Elimination Tournament

GAME PLAY & FORMAT

  • Games will be officiated by high school referees emphasizing high school rules.

    • Bonus starts at 5 team fouls and resets each quarter

  • Games are 4 10 minute quarters.

    • Running clock until last 2 minutes of 4th quarter. If the game is not within 15 points then the clock will continue running.

  • Timeouts: 1 per half

    • 30 second timeouts

  • 2 minutes halftime

  • 1 minute between quarters

  • Overtime is 2 minutes

PLAYER CONDUCT

  • No swearing, taunting or inappropriate verbal or physical behavior.

  • Unsportsmanlike play may result in:

    • Warning;

    • Sitting out (ref discretion); or

    • Ejection from the game or league.

  • If unnecessary or excessive fouls occur, the ref may impose a technical foul (2 pts plus the ball).

  • Teams should wear matching shirts/uniforms.

  • Players will demonstrate good sportsmanship and shake hands with their opponents.

Spectator CONDUCT

  • Do not yell at or have emotional outbursts towards our court monitors and event volunteers.

  • Cheering is encouraged.

  • All players need completed liability waivers completed online and added to the roster signed to participate.

  • Take the time to THANK A REF, staff member, or opposing player who did a great job.

  • Help to keep the facility clean. Please take any garbage and water bottles at the end of your games.
