Executive Director - Rick Walker is from Bremerton. He was an
honor roll student-athlete from the 1974 graduating class at East Bremerton High. He led
the Knights to two state AA basketball championships. Rick was selected a high school
all-American and small college all-American at the University of Puget Sound. In 1976, he
helped lead the university to its first NCAA division 2 National Championship
and is the schools all time leading scorer. He was
honored by the university for his sportsmanship and example of Christian character by
receiving the Tim McDonough award for two consecutive years. In 1993 he was
inducted into the University of Puget Sound's Sports Hall of Fame as a player.
In 2003 the 1976 national championship team was inducted into the University of
Puget Sound Hall of Fame. In the year 2000,
Bremerton Athletic Roundtable and The Sun honored Rick by selecting him
Kitsap County's Basketball
Athlete of The Century. In 2005 he was inducted into the Tacoma-Pierce
County Hall of Fame and into the Kitsap County Old Timers Sports
Hall of Fame.

Rick has been coaching in Kitsap County since 1984 and is
presently the boys varsity head coach at King's West High School. His other coaching
experience includes four years assisting at Bremerton High and four years at Olympic High.
During this time, he has devoted his time to improving the quality of athletes and sports
in Kitsap County. He, and his wife Bev, have two grown children, Luke and Bekah.
